Emergency personnel are on hand at the Kent county jail after a crane collapsed at 9am this morning.

A 9-1-1 Emergency call came in at 9:09 am this morning asking for help and a rescue crew to be dispatched to the  Kent County Correctional Facility in Grand Rapids.

The jail has been undergoing a renovation project and the crane collapsed in that area.

At 10:05am all of the construction workers, there were about 15 in that area at the time, have all been accounted for.  One of the construction workers  suffered a minor injury.

The main building has been evacuated at this time.

It is still unclear at this time if any of the inmates are hurt.
