Detroit Tigers fans had a reason to smile Friday night and it wasn’t the game.  They lost 12-4 in 10 innings.

In the 4th inning, a Detroit Tigers fan named Matt proposed to his girlfriend Shana.  She said yes!

In the 6th inning, Matt got his engagement gift.  A foul ball!

Matt got some help from Detroit Tigers mascot PAWS for the proposal.  The proposal was also broadcast on TV.  Sure to be a night never forgotten, then it got even more memorable.

Two innings after becoming engaged, Matt had a foul ball in his hands before dropping it.  But the person who ended up with the ball gave it to Matt and Shana to make their night even more special.

There were 41,878 people at Friday night’s game, so ending up with a foul ball is lucky indeed.

Here’s hoping the happy couple’s good luck continues for years to come.
