Christmas in downtown Grand Rapids is a little more cheerful this year thanks to the hard work of many local college students.

Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., hosted a "Winter Wonderland" competition which gave away over $2,000 in prize money.

20 businesses featured artwork from students in their windows. All of the artwork was then voted on to determine the winner.

WZZM13.com tells us where to find the winners:

The top prize went to KCAD students Katie Wright, Jericho Castillo and Nick Tisch for their window display at clothing retailer Lee & Birch.  Kendall students Alyssa Zick, Elise Jadwin and Justine Cranmer took the $750 second place awards for their display at the Chop House restaurant, and the third prize of $500 was Haley Hungerford for her display at Kilwin's.

Honorable mention prizes of $250 each went to: the display at Humanity Boutique designed by Meghan Boland, Audrey Spring, Nate Jansen and Jake Karadsheh; and BOKAY designed by Kaelin Bender, Grace Rodgers, Alyssa Lipinski and Tori Hays.

Congrats to all of the artists!
