While Grand Rapids' high school seniors won't be graduating for another seven months, the time to complete applications for college is now.

High schools across the state are participating in Michigan’s third annual College Application Week which runs from November 3-7.

The goal of the program is to give every graduating senior the opportunity to apply to college.

Senior high school students at Grand Rapids Public Schools are being encouraged to apply to at least three colleges by November 7.

Parents and students should also begin looking into what options are available for financial student aid.

For younger students looking to get an early start on college, beginning in 9th grade students can earn college credit through dual enrollment.
