Coldplay To Release Christmas Song This Week
Coldplay are planning to release a new Christmas track titled “Christmas Lights” on December 1. The single will be available on iTunes.
According to a handwritten note appearing on the band’s official website, the song is written “in the key of G.” They also write that they are “doing the video right now,” although the words are crossed out. They conclude by writing: “Have a great Christmas and holidays.”
Earlier in the week the band announced appearances at two big European festivals next summer including Germany’s Rock Am Ring. They are also gearing up for two shows in the U.K. in December that will raise awareness for the homelessness charity crisis.
The band is also currently recording their fifth studio album, which is due out sometime in 2011.
