The City of Holland is famous for it's annual Tulip Time Festival.  Tulip Time brings thousands of people to Holland to enjoy the beauty of the tulips, but the City of Holland's beauty lasts much longer.

Holland is again in the spotlight as an entrant in the national "America In Bloom" competition.

Judges were in Holland on Wednesday to evaluate the city in multiple categories.  WZZM has more on the competition:

Holland is competing against cities its size from across the country.

The event encourages communities to improve the beautification of their parks, vacant lots, and ditches; reduce carbon footprints all over the city; plant new trees, develop floral displays, improve the city landscape, and preserve the heritage of the city.

This is Holland's second year in the event.  Last year, the city took first place in two categories.
