Recently ABC News did a Special on what our homes would look like if everything that was not made in America was taken out.  This family walked back into their demo home and the only thing not taken out was the kitchen sink.  What happened to us here in America.  When did we start outsourcing everything.  What ever happened to "Made In America" and proud of it!  When did the demand for "American Made" cease.  When "Made In America" ceased our jobs started to go away too.  On a local level it is possible to start creating jobs again by creating local demand.  It keeps dollars circulating though our community.  How?  Buy Local.  Make a conscious effort to do so.  THINK!

This past summer was the first summer I purchase 5 or more pounds of local produce, every week,  from the Fulton Street Farmer's Market.  I froze it and have been eating local produce all winer long.  Not only was it cheaper and fresher but it tastes better than anything else you'd buy in the store.  remember tha sweet asparagus of summer.  I've been eating it in Decemeber,  January and February.

Last weekend, I visited with a local farmer at the Fulton Street Farmer's Market.  Here's what she had to say...

btw...the Fulton Street Farmers Market is open in the Winter too Saturdays 10am-1pm.
