Chances Of Tornado In Grand Rapids

By now, you've seen the pictures of destruction in Joplin following Sunday's tornado. I've never seen a tornado in person, but have had plenty of nightmares featuring a tornado. For as much as we complain about lousy weather in Michigan, lucky we are not to be a part of "tornado alley." In fact, we don't even make it to the top 20.

We are hearing so many stories of people rushing to find cover when the Joplin tornado sirens went off, I wonder what would happen here. Doesn't it seem like every time there is severe weather, most of us either stand on the front porch looking or watching the event on t.v. like its a ballgame.
