Champ the dog is our special pet of the week.

Andy Rent talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Trudy, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Champ into the studios. Champ is a 10-year old Chihuahua mix who has been up for adoption for 2 months now.  Champ loves to nap, go on short walks, and nap again. He would do best in a home with no small kids. He takes some warming up to new people, once he gets to know you, he'll be your best friend. Champ has successfully lived with other small dogs that would rather co-exist than play.

According to the AKC, Chihuahua's all have large, alert ears, big moist eyes, and huge personalities. Inside each little Chihuahua is a miniature king or queen ready to rule their realms, so they need to be taught what is acceptable in human kingdoms. They are intelligent and enthusiastic, so they usually don’t need extensive training.
