Celebrate “A Streetcar named Desire” With Opera Grand Rapids

An exciting opera opens Opera Grand Rapids season on Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2 at DeVos Performance Hall.  However, you don't have to wait until then to learn more and celebrate Andre Previn's A Streetcar Names Desire.

You can celebrate three weekends of opera starting TODAY, Sunday, October 20.

At 2pm on TODAY, A Streetcar Named Desire cast member, soprano Kiera Duffy (Stella) previews the modern opera in English at the GRAM, Grand Rapids Art Museum.

Next Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27), join FOTO and Maestro Robert Lyall at 4pm for an exploration of A Streetcar Named Desire and a glass of wine, at Schuler Books & Music on 28th St.

And then - on Nov. 1 & 2 join Opera Grand Rapids at DeVos Performance Hall for the Michigan Premier of Andre Previn's
A Streetcar Named Desire.
