“Bald Barbie” Inspired By Facebook Campaign !

In Grand Rapids, Salon Nouveau does a number of charity events to help  "Children With Hairloss" (if you'd like to donate your long hair for a good cause).

Think back to when you were  a little girl or a teenager or even an adult.  Females place so much value and importance on their hair, is the color right, how about the style, did the hair stylist give you a good cut?  Truth be told there are lots of children who for one reason or another don't have hair, or they have too little of  it, or have lost it through chemotherapy treatments.

I’m No MENSA Candidate, But…

I've always joked that "I'm no MENSA candidate, but I'm not stupid, either" when talking to people.  But I gotta be honest, hearing that there are now TWO 2-year-olds in MENSA makes me wonder how stupid I really am!

Earlier this year, they welcomed Emmelyn Roettger, who was just shy of her 3rd birthday.  She is the youngest U.S. member of the group. Doctors initially thought she was autistic because she appeared to avoid eye contact; turns out she just needed glasses.

So my mom and I get into a discussion about this on the way into work this morning.  A woman donates a kidney to her boss, it moves the boss up on the donation list, and then the boss fires her. This was the Hot Topic on The View, and it was also the Hot Topic on The Talk.  You couldn

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog about Starbucks and the crushed bugs being used as a red dye in some it's drinks, and got quite a reaction.  It certainly did around the country.

Starbucks had said they weren't doing anything that others weren't doing as well, but would consider a change.

Meet A 4-Year Old MENSA Member

What were you doing when you were 4?

I think I was battling the forces of evil in our neighborhood cowboy and guns battles.  I could fire a cap-gun pretty darn fast, if I do say so myself.  Or, maybe I was pretending to be Superman or Batman and "saving the world."
