Vote for the Whitecaps’ Newest Food Item

The West Michigan Whitecaps are rebuilding their ballpark following the fire back in January and preparing for their season. As part of that, they're doing a lot of things and asking for the public's input.

First, they asked fans to design their jerseys for Social Media Night. Then, they asked for suggestions for the name of their new mascot. Now, they want the public to vote for which new food item they should add to their menu for the coming season.

Kopi Luwak coffee is made from coffee berries which have been partially digested and excreted by a cat-like animal, the Asian palm civet.

The coffee was made famous in the movie, "The Bucket List".

The $600/pound coffee was recently tasted in Holland.

Grand Rapids Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Michigan State Student’s Slaying

A suspect in the fatal Jan. 31 shooting of a Michigan State University from Middleville in his East Lansing apartment has been arrested in Grand Rapids, according to Grand Rapids and East Lansing police.

Marquay Shaquilleedris McCoy, 19 was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at a Grand Rapids residence and was being held today in the Kent County Jail, authorities said today.
