Andy Vidro has made his mark in the triathlon community at both a local and national level. Co-Director of the Grand Rapids Triathlon and Michigan Titanium Triathlon, he is getting Grand Rapids noticed. The GR Tri, has been chosen three times now to host a National Championship Event by USA Triathlon, bringing over $2MM in economic impact to the community.

Now, Andy has been given the honor of being appointed to the USA Triathlon National Board of Race Directors. This select group of race directors contribute to the success of triathlon and help to build the momentum of the sport. Andy is one of only three level 2 race directions in Michigan with his co-directors, Ann Vidro and Doug Tuttle being the other two.

Great Jazz Coming Back in August With GRandJazzFest

GRandJazzFest presented by DTE Energy Foundation returns to Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids, this Aug. 20 and 21, for the fifth annual festival. The popular family-friendly festival, which attracted more than 10,000 people last year, is West Michigan’s only free, weekend-long jazz festival. The two-day festival will again be free because of Presenting Sponsor DTE Energy Foundation, the City of Grand Rapids and other sponsoring organizations and individuals.
