Netflix “Unlimited Employee Vacation Policy” Works. Here’s Why!

Netflix employees are some of the luckiest in the nation and here's the reason why.  Can you even imagine what unlimited vacation would mean to you?  To me, it would make me work harder because I wouldn't want to lose a job where your employer trusts that you will do the right thing and reward you for doing it.  It would be one of those jobs that you never want to lose.  But it would take someone who does the right thing when no one is watching, someone who is self motivated and can also self monitor.

Spectrum Health Plans NE GR Pavilion

Just read that Spectrum Health is planning a new development on the northeast side near the Beltline and 3 Mile.

The original plans for that land called for a shopping complex called "Orchard Hills," which would've been an upscale shopping area, but it never got past the proposal stage.  So now, Spectrum will build a medical pavilion and labs and recruit other businesses in the health field.

Zeeland Store Owner Pressured To Remove “Spice” From Store Shelves

When I first read this story I was thinking thinking, why would a store owner be forced to remove a spice from his shelves?  I guess I'm too out of touch, and since I don't have any children, I wouldn't know about these things.

Apparently "Spice" is a fake marijuana.  Wikipedia gives a definition of "Spice" as being synthetic marijuana that does not cause one to test positive for marijuana.  Makes me wonder if chemicals are involved in this?  Marijuana is a plant but how does "Spice" become fake marijuana?

Good News! Snacking On Chocolate And Wine Is Good For Your Heart

Chocolate and wine, researchers now say, are good for the heart!  First of all I'd like to thank whoever is doing these studies.  Chocolate and wine?  It's sounds like a party to me.

Now this is good news for most people but for people like me, food addicts, this sort of thing just doesn't work!  But a new study suggests that snacking on chocolate could help fight weight gain too
