UICA Hosts “superusted: The 4th Midwest Biennial” Beginning in August

The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (UICA) will play host to a very interesting traveling art exhibit, superusted: The 4th Midwest Biennial. It will be on exhibit from August 18 - October 23. Superusted presents the work of seventeen artists from five states across the Midwest including; Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Fashion and Style Will be new Exhibit at Grand Rapids Public Museum

The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) is partnering with Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University’s (KCAD’s) Pamella Roland DeVos School of Fashion to open a new fashion exhibit, Inspired Style, on August 6. This new exhibit is a collaborative fashion project, where students used the Museum’s fashion Collection for inspiration to create new, modern interpretations of the historic pieces.

World’s Largest Dog Wash is This Weekend

Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids will host the 14th annual World’s Largest Dog Wash at Fifth Third Ballpark this Sunday, July 10. The event, held during the Whitecaps “Dog Days” game, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature dog washes, grooming and doggy bag giveaways. In addition to the dog wash, the event will include a pet contest with prizes for best dog trick, longest dog ears and dog/owner look-alike.
