Great Lakes Ship Wrecks Opens in Grand Rapids Public Museum

The Great Lakes are so vast, so beautiful, and hold so many mysteries.  There are stories of storms, shipwrecks, and more tails of a few hundred years.

Tens of thousands of vessels lie wrecked on the bottom of the Great Lakes. Some shipwrecks are of natural causes – like storms or rocky shoals – while others are due to human error.

Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham Bringing his Comedic Sidekicks to Van Andel Arena

Next month, November of 2012, Jeff Dunham kicks off his all new “Disorderly Conduct” worldwide tour, and it's coming to Grand Rapids, too.

The new tour brings a brand new show packed with more laughs than ever before. Dunham’s famed troupe of sidekicks are back: Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, the beer-fueled redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff, a mini-version of the ringmaster himself.

A Concert in the Studio on The River (video)

As I mentioned in a blog on Tuesday, the Grand Rapids Symphony kicks off their Fox Pops Concert Series this weekend with the music of Vegas, the Rat Pack, and more.

Matt Catingub, who will conduct the symphony for the concert, is a composer, arranger, singer, plays the piano, sax.....there is probably nothing he doesn't do in the world of music.
