Cannonsburg Ski Area Plans to Open Tuesday or Wednesday

Cannonsburg Ski Area had hoped to open over New Year's weekend, but the weather was not fully cooperative. Cannonsburg's latest estimate is that they will open this Tuesday or Wednesday. 

UPDATE: Cannonsburg has announced they will open on Wednesday, January 6 at 4PM.

Cannonsburg Ski Area has been making snow, but snowmaking conditions have not been ideal. Perfect snowmaking conditions are 28 degrees fahrenheit or less with low humidity and wind.

On Saturday night, Cannonsburg made an announcement on their Facebook page:

After a really hard push to open this weekend, we simply did not have the conditions needed to make the amount of snow we needed to get open.

We are looking to Tuesday or Wednesday as our opening at this time.
