Can The Tigers Make The World Series?

These are exciting times for our local sports teams....ok, maybe not the Pistons, but the future looks good for the Red Wings, Lions -- now that the lockout is settled -- and for our Tigers. Do you think we hafe a shot at the world series?

Most Americans think either the New York Yankees or the Boston Red Sox will win this year's World Series. Each team received 20-percent of the vote in a new Harris Interactive poll to lead the way. Many think the Philadelphia Phillies are a strong contender as well, with 19-percent choosing the team to take it all this year. No other team even comes close to these three. Five-percent believe this is the year for the Atlanta Braves. Four-percent each are predicting World Series victories for the Chicago Cubs and the Texas Rangers -- who went to the fall classic in 2010 but lost to the San Francisco Giants. Only three-percent have faith that the Giants will post back-to-back World Series wins.
