Sure wish this would have been available when I was dignosed with Colon Cancer in 2009.  I was always so afraid to have a colonoscopy.  I was afraid of the proceedure, the unknown.  I was afraid of the anesthesia.  I was afraid of the whole thought of the thing.  Mine fortunately was discovered on a fluke.  I went in for one thing and Dr. Dujovney discovered I had Colon Cancer.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, had this not been discovered by accident, it would have claimed my life.  By the way...the whole fear thing was completely unfounded.  It was one of the easiest, simplest, things ever!

Well, a promising study shows it may get even easier for you.  A report in GUT Magazine showed that dogs can sniff out Colon Cancer as accurately as a colonoscopy.  They can smell it on a person's breathe.  The dogs that appear to be ideally suited this for this are Labradors, German Shepherds, Bloodhounds, and dogs made for tracking and sniffing.

Wouldn't it be nice if that could be the first step.  You allow a dog to smell your breathe and if he goes on alert a person can go ahead and have the colonoscopy.  I think alot more people would be willing to allow a doggie to smell their breathe and then take it from there...
