The four-show subscription series begins October 1 with eight performances of the rags-to-riches story of Frankie Vallie and The Four Seasons. Jersey Boys is one of two big Broadway hits that will be coming to Grand Rapids for the first time. The other, opening February 4, is the musical comedy "Sister Act," a successful stage version of the popular Whoopi Goldberg movie.

The other two subscription shows, arguably are also new. The updated revival of "West Side Story," starting November 12, is more gritty and urban than the original but still has the amazing choreography and score that audiences have fallen in love with. And Andrew Lloyd Webber's adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz," opening April 22, includes all the iconic songs from the past, plus new material from the one of the most prolific and successful composers of our time.

In addition the Broadway Grand Rapids has two special events in the new season including the spectacularly acrobatic and family friendly "Cirque Dreams Holidaze" a special holiday offering between Christmas and New Year's, and a spring return of the ever-popular "Mamma Mia!" for three delightful evenings.

All the shows are at DeVos Performance Hall in downtown Grand Rapids. Season tickets are available now. Subscribers can save up to 30 percent off single-ticket prices with the four-show package and get the first opportunity to order seats at the two special events. Single tickets to individual shows will not go on sale until mid-summer.
