Persistence is important. It took persistence to get Bleeker, a shy young kitten, into Crash's Landing.

At first, Bleeker insisted on keeping his distance from everyone. Today, he is ready to be adopted and Crash's Landing will show that same persistence until they find him a home.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Bleeker.

Bleeker was first found on the southeast side of town. He was very interested in food, but not interested in sticking around if anyone was in the area. After a lot of time and patience, Bleeker finally warmed up to Sandi, the woman who was keeping Bleeker fed.

Sandi was finally able to get Bleeker to trust her enough to pick him up. Eventually, Bleeker was brought into Crash's Landing.

On January 11th, 2016 Bleeker became an official Big Sid's Kid after he tested positive for Feline Leukemia.

Bleeker was born in the fall of 2014. If you can provide a gentle hand for this young cat who is slowly coming out of his shell, Bleeker is the cat for you!

Please adopt Bleeker!
