Christmas shopping, the most stressful time of the year.

I know, it's supposed to be 'the most wonderful time of the year,' but the pressure of shopping, finding the 'right thing' wears me out.  The crowds and hussle and bussle...I'm usually good for about an hour.

How about you?  Are you a "Black Friday" kind of person?  You have to get up early, be first, and can't wait to take advantage of those special bargains.

Well, it looks like you're going to start a bit earlier this year, on Thanksgiving!  That's right, Thanksgiving, the family day, the day to spend time with loved ones.  Now, you'll be able to spend part of it with thousands of...well, not exactly 'loved ones.'

Black Friday is turning into Black Thursday, and I'm hearing some shoppers, and employees for that matter, aren't happy about it.

Toys R Us said Monday that it will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, an hour earlier than last year and the earliest of any so far this year.

Walmart will open at 10 p.m., two hours ahead of last year's midnight opening.

Other stores, including Target, Macy's, Best Buy and Kohl's, will open at midnight.

Holy shopping cart, what's the rush?  I can see it now...the next sale begins on Christmas day!

What do you think?  Is this 'shopping thing' getting a little out-of-control?  Let me hear from you and comment on this.  I'd love to know what you think.
