The latest installment of the 1984 action flick “Beverly Hills Cop” will be filmed in Metro Detroit. This news comes after the film was approved for a film incentive from the state of Michigan.

The movie, the fourth in the "Beverly Hills Cop" series, was approved for a $13.5 million incentive based on $56,644,792 of expected in-state expenditures. The film will also likely provide 352 Michigan workers with jobs during the film’s first shoot.

The fourth installment will bring Axel Foley (the film's main character) back to Detroit during the coldest winter on record (Polar Vortex?). Brett Ratner will direct the film and it will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is expected to hit theaters in March 2016.
