They have been at it since 1937, 81 years, and show no sign of slowing down. It's the Grand Rapids YMCA Service Club's major fundraiser, the White Elephant Sale, back for another year.

The 2017 sale was another near-record-breaker in money earned with the largest crowds in recent history, as they anticipate 2018 to be just as good. The sale supports YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin, this year focusing on the Willem Discovery Place - a new nature education center and trail.

They'll have an incredible selection of new and donated merchandise for the massive two-day sale Friday and Saturday, April 27 - 28. They have donations from businesses, establishments, estate sales, etc. Just some things buyers will find are office supplies, clothes, building supplies, books, bicycles, furniture, fabric, carpet remnants, tools, stereos and TV’s (working), file cabinets, toys, plumbing fixtures, pictures, hardware, antiques and collectibles, boats, and many surprise items.

The White Elephant Sale will be in a new location this year, 1661 Monroe Ave. NW,
just south of Ann Street, the former Baker Furniture warehouse.

Hours are: Friday, April 27, 8-9:30 am - Early Bird Sale with an admission price of $5.00
The rest of the day, 9:30am - 9pm is Free
Saturday, April 28, 9:00 am - 3 pm also Free.
