Here is some exciting news for all you Beach Boys fans.

Roling Stone Magazine says Smile, the record originally planned as the follow-up to their 1966 classic Pet Sounds but scrapped mainly due to Brian Wilson's fragile mental health at the time, will go on sale for the first time as The Smile Sessions on November 1st.

The record, which will be issued as a 2CD set, double vinyl LP, digital album and box set, was carefully completed, compiled and sequenced by the surviving members of the band from the original master tapes.

The band will be promoting the record with a pair of videos for the songs "Good Vibrations" and "Heroes and Villains" that will be based on input from fans. In a contest on Tongal.com, Beach Boys fans will be able to submit video concepts, which will be voted on and ultimately selected by other fans.
