But now, as they’re helping their sons and daughters pack up and head off to college, 80-percent believe their children won’t be well-equipped if they don’t have a laptop. Electronics make up the top four college necessities on today’s must-have list, with tablets ranking second. Smartphones are third on the list, followed by netbooks.
