UPDATE: Missing Kent County Teen Found Safe

The Kent County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a teen who has been reported missing from Grattan Township.

13-year-old Ava Jae Mallindine was last seen near 5 Mile Rd. and Murray Lake Ave. in Grattan Township, Sunday, May 6, around 7:50 p.m.

Authorities say that the girl suffers from depression, and has made threats about harming herself.

Mallindine is described as 5'5" tall, 180 pounds, with shoulder length blonde hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing shorts, a navy blue sweatshirt and white tennis shoes.
