Cindy Gamrat to Run for Seat She was Expelled From – Um, What?

Allegan County Clerk Joyce Watts has confirmed that Cindy Gamrat has filed to run in the special election for the 80th district House seat from which she was just expelled.

At first we thought that maybe it was just a typo, but no. Gamrat is one of the five candidates who have filed to run in the November primary election for that seat.

Steve Rannazzisi, Comedian and Star of ‘The League’, Lied About Being in The Twin Towers on 9/11

Steve Rannazzisi, comedian and actor best known for portraying Kevin on the hit TV series The League, has admitted to lying about being in the World Trade Center during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Rannazzisi had previously described, in great detail, what floor he was on that day, how he felt afterward, and even claimed that he was there working for Merrill Lynch (who has no record of his employment).

Grand Rapids Firefighters Perform CPR, Save Dog’s Life

A group of firefighters from the GRFD are being called heroes this morning after saving a dog that was caught in a house fire.

Jordan Roberts posted a picture on Facebook Tuesday morning of the firefighters working on the dog in front of a home on Sigsbee Street. Roberts said in the post that she and her two sons watched them work for half an hour to resuscitate the dog after the fire, and that it all ended with "a wagging tail and cheers!

Michigan Resident Catches the Plague on Trip to Colorado

The Michigan Department of Community Health says that a Michigan resident from Marquette County contracted the bubonic plague while on a trip to Colorado.

This is Michigan’s first plague diagnosis this year and only the 14th case nationwide, according to the report. There's no need for alarm, you can't catch the plague from another human.
