Michigan State Falls to Nebraska 39-38

In an ending that stunned Spartan fans across Michigan, the Michigan State Spartans fell to the Nebraska Cornhuskers 39-38 Saturday night, following a call being questioned by many.

In one of the final plays of the game, the Cornhuskers scored a touchdown with a 91-yard drive that lasted only 38 seconds, and ended with a 30-yard pass from Tommy Armstrong to Brandon Reilly with only 17 seconds left on the clock. The problem? Reilly had stepped out of bounds prior to receiving the ball.

13-Year-Old Jamarion Lawhorn Sentenced

13-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn, the young boy who has been convicted of fatally stabbing a younger boy at a Kentwood playground last August, has been sentenced.

Judge Paul J. Denenfield sentenced the boy to be incarcerated at the Muskegon River Youth Home in Evart, Mich. for the next 8 years (until he turns 21-years-old).  He was given a "blended sentence" which means that he may be moved to an adult prison upon release, but that will be decided by the court at that time.

Police in Manistee Investigating Razor Blades Found in Halloween Candy

The Manistee Police Department is looking into reports about razor blades that were found in children's Halloween candy, according to 9 & 10 News.

Police received calls about two different incidents where parents found razor blades in their children's candy. Both children had trick-or-treated in the same area of the town.
