St. Cecilia Music Center is the official ArtPrize music hub for ArtPrize 2014.

St. Cecilia Music Center is again also organizing the ArtPrize music busking sites at public places, with expanded locations for this year.

The busking sites will be in action from Sept. 25 (Thursday) to Oct. 4.

During ArtPrize 2014 there are nine music busking sites.

ArtPrize musicians who have entered the competition with entries at St. Cecilia Music Center will perform at the busking sites during the first 10 days of ArtPrize.

The music busking sites will serve as the performance element of this year’s ArtPrize, with expanded performance hours.

Locations and times* of busking from Sept. 25 to Oct. 4 in Grand Rapids include:

  • St. Cecilia Music Center, President's Room, 24 Ransom Ave. NE.
  • Women's City Club, 254 E. Fulton St.
  • Blue Bridge, west side of Grand River on Grand Valley State University Pew Campus side.
  • Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, 303 Pearl St. NW, and Gillette Bridge.
  • Lyons Square, at end of Lyon Street NW on Grand River between Amway Grand Plaza and DeVos Place.
  • Rosa Parks Circle, 135 Monroe Center NW.
  • DeVos Hall, front entrance, 303 Monroe Ave. NW.
  • Van Andel Arena, front entrance, 130 W. Fulton St.
  • Monument Square, park at northeast corner of Fulton and Division streets.

* Weekdays from 5 – 8 p.m. at all locations, except Rosa Parks Circle, which has lunchtime performances only from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
* Saturday, Sept. 27, and Oct. 4 from 12 noon – 8 p.m. at all locations
* Sunday, Sept. 28 from noon – 6 p.m.
