Venue registration has begun. Soon it will be the artists' turn as ArtPrize 2014 begins to take shape.

Another way to get involved in ArtPrize is as a curator.

ArtPrize and the City of Grand Rapids are hiring curators for City Parks.

ArtPrize, the City of Grand Rapids, and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. are accepting applications for City Venue curators, through March 31.

Send your application to curators@artprize.org.

ArtPrize.org explains what should be included:

  • Proposal (500 word max)—What would you like to do in a park? This could be quite specific, with a particular Venue and certain Artists in mind, or it could be a more general plan that you could adapt to fit different spaces.
  • Up to 10 images—These could be works by Artists you know you'd like to show, renderings, or documentation of past curatorial projects.
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Technical and safety considerations for the installations (if work is selected)

There is a total of ten City Venues which need curators including Fish Ladder Park, the Grand River, Sixth Street Bridge Park, and more.
