Arizona the dog is our special pet of the week.

Andy Rent talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Meet Arizona, an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Kim, from the Humane Society, brought Arizona into the studios.

Arizona is 2-years old, medium in size and weighs 37 lbs. He is a social pup who enjoys meeting new people. He seems to be very playful with other dogs. Arizona is eager to learn new things!

According to the American Kennel Club, the Staffordshire Terrier is a confident, good-natured and smart dog. They enjoy daily exercise and is adaptable to almost anything you want to do to provide this. Sounds like a good pet to me.

Kim talked about the many animals (80 cats, 26 dogs, and 11 critters) that would all love to find their forever home before the holidays! If you're planning on an animal as a Christmas gift - make sure the entire family is at their facility to meet the animal before adoption - in order to make sure it's the right fit for everyone.

Don't forget, donate locally! Humane Society of West Michigan is 100% donor funded! It's your donations that help them care for hundreds of animals a year. Reminder - they are not a part of any larger organization or Humane Society.

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
