Are Grand Rapids JCPenney Stores Closing?

As a little kid, maybe it was one of the first stores you shopped in with your parents.  Or maybe it was a more recent trip to get clothes, shoes, boots or something else.

We all know that time does, indeed, march on.  There are signs of it every day; some aren't surprising, but are sort of sad if only for the sentimental value.  Like the latest news from JC Penney that, because of their financial problems over the last several years, they would be closing certain stores.

The good news is that none in Grand Rapids are closing. The only JCPenney store in Michigan that will close is in Marquette.
