Angel the Pug came calling today.

Angel visited with Andy Rent as he talked about him on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Audrey, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Angel into the studios.

Angel is a 7-year old Pug that needs a good, loving home. Angel is full of love and energy. She loves to play and be around people. Being 7-years old, she is in the Silver Paws club, meaning that as a senior dog, she is FREE to the right owner.

The truth of how the Pug came into existence is shrouded in mystery, according to the American Kennel Club, but he has been true to his breed down through the ages since before 400 B.C. Authorities agree that he is of Oriental origin with some basic similarities to the Pekingese. This is an even tempered breed, exhibiting stability, playfulness, great charm, dignity, and an outgoing, loving disposition.

This week, being Valentine week, the Humane Society of West Michigan is promoting "Every Kiss Begins with Canine," and dogs who are 5-months or older are only $75, running through February 29.

Also, they are having a bunny special, Some Bunny to Love, on Saturday, February 20th. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on that Saturday, all bunnies will be Name Your Own Price!

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
