Are you a good tipper? Do you support the waitstaff that takes care of you when you're eating out?

Waiters, waitresses, don't make that much money on an hourly basis, and depend on tips to support them. And, I strongly believe you should support them as well with a good tip.

Kathy and I were dining out Friday night, and had a good waiter, good service and all that, and left a good, 20% + tip. We wondered, however, what other people do here in GR, and how we compared to the rest of the U.S. I think, overall, we're cheap here.According to a new (unscientific) study, New York City is home to the best tippers in the US. I suppose that stands to reason.

Now, there isn't any data to back this up, but it's fun to look at and see where you may stand.

Just for fun, here are the Best Cities for Tippers according to this report:
1. New York
2. Chicago
3. Las Vegas
4. San Francisco
5. Washington, D.C.
6. Los Angeles
7. Louisville
8. Portland, Maine
9. Honolulu
10. Milwaukee

So, I ask you, what do you tip? 10 percent? Fifteen percent? More?
