It's spring and pot holes are growing everywhere in West Michigan.  With all the rain we've had, this could be a bumper crop.  You just have to hope the street crews in GR can cover them all.  And yet, as they did in Paris, we could make pot holes an Art Prize entry.

Artist Juliana Santacruz Herrera was fed up with Paris' pothole problem. So, like any upstanding citizen, she did something about it.

Only in this case, instead of contacting her local representative, she took the matter into her own hands by knitting multi-colored plugs and filling in the crevices herself.

She calls her piece 'Projet Nid de Poule' (or Project Pothole), which you can view for yourself in this incredible time-lapse video of potholes being filled on Boulevard Belleville.

What a great way to reclaim public space!
