Stream of Consciousness

The Allegan County Fair wrapped up over the weekend, setting some record numbers for ridership and 4H income!

In fact, since it's mid-September, you could argue that the fair wrapped up another year of great fairs, festivals and events around West Michigan. (Don't be sad. Warm weather will be back in another 8 months!)

Estimated attendance for 2013 was 221,088.  One of the most popular rides were the "Twin Flip" and the "Cuckoo House."  The 4-H Livestock sale hit a new sales record of $506,726.85, breaking the record of $505,261.80 set in 2011.

And in what is no big surprise, the Tim McGraw show (which was AWESOME, by the way!) drew the biggest crowds of the year.

The Allegan County Fair will return September 5-13, 2014!
