Yeti came to Crash's Landing under desperate circumstances. In just a short while, he has made a remarkable recovery. Come into Crash's Landing to meet him while he's still available. A cat like Yeti is rare find!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Yeti.

Crash's Landing got a call in late October 2018 from a couple in Howard City who found Yeti after he hobbled into their garage with a severely injured foot. They had taken him in for a weekend, then called Crash's Landing for help.

Crash's Landing brought in Yeti and discovered something wrapped around his foot so tight that it had cut through flesh and tendons to expose bones above his ankle. His foot had swollen to three times its normal size. Yeti received many rounds of creative bandaging, heavy-duty antibiotics, narcotics and anti-inflammatories to control the swelling and pain. He also tested positive for FIV.

Yeti's injuries took about a month to heal. There is only a slight scar now and he has no limp. His recovery has been amazing. Yeti likes to take it easy, but he does love the attention of people. He'd do best in a home where he is the only cat and he can absorb all of the attention.

Please adopt Yeti!
