Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Truxton.

On May 15, 2015 Truxton was found laying in the street at Clyde Park and Buckingham. He was bloody and hurt. A brave woman stopped traffic to save Truxton's life. She then contacted Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing treated Truxton immediately.

Truxton had head trauma including in multiple broken teeth, a fractured and displaced lower jaw, many puncture wounds to his face, and lacerations. The incident also caused a neurological condition known as Horner's Syndrome.

Truxton was born in spring of 2012 and his recovery is going well. He is ready to be adopted!

Truxton would be best suited for a quiet home.
