Squash is ready to be picked by you at Crash's Landing!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Squash.

Squash was found in the neighborhood by Crash's Landing just a couple of months ago. It's not uncommon for people to drop off cats near Crash's Landing. There were quite a few in the area at the time, so Crash's Landing set up live traps to keep them safe from the busy street nearby. They found Squash in one of the traps after the first day.

Squash is five years old. He had a nasty toe infection upon arrival. Otherwise, he was in good health and the infection cleared up nicely after being treated with antibiotics.

Squash took a while to adjust to life at Crash's Landing. Today, he is doing fine and is pretty indifferent towards other cats. He could do well in a home with or without other cats, but would do better in a home without small children.

Please come into Crash's Landing and adopt Squash!
