Sika was found in the middle of a busy road in the middle of winter last year. She was lucky to be rescued, but is hoping for even more.

Can you adopt Sika?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Sika.

On January 18, 2015, Sika was found sitting in the middle of 48th Avenue in Hudsonville. A young woman named Maegen was driving down the road, saw Sika and immediately got her off the street.

When she took Sika home she noticed that although Sika could follow her, she was bumping into walls, getting stuck in corners and urinating blood.

Maegen brought Sika to Crash's Landing where they treated her for severe head trauma. Sika had likely been struck by a car. Sika couldn't see or smell her dinner and required a lot of assistance.

Sika has made improvements since first arriving at Crash's Landing, but she still needs special attention. Can you provide the help she needs and the home she deserves?
