Cats have different personalities and different needs. Not every home is a perfect match for every cat. Rio isn't happy being among 90 - 100 other cats at Crash's Landing. She would prefer a quieter setting and a home to call her own.

Can you help Rio?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Rio.

Rio was born in late 2005. She spent nine happy years in a home with her owner, but had to come to Crash's Landing for shelter this summer.

Rio is front-declawed and semi-toothless, which means she must be an indoor cat. Many cats love it indoors at Crash's Landing, but Rio isn't one of them.

Rio prefers being the center of attention, not one of many like she is at Crash's Landing.

The key to Rio's happiness is simple, find a new home with a loving family.
