This time of the year we like to celebrate independence.

But Muffy from Crash's Landing is waiting for someone to help her.

Can you adopt Muffy?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is "Purrrfect Friday," where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home. This week, we're spotlighting Muffy.

Muffy came to Crash's Landing in March of 2013. She came from the Kent County Animal Shelter and was FIV positive.

Crash's Landing is one of the few shelters that takes FIV positive cats, some of the FIV positive cats they take come from hundreds of miles away. Muffy was much closer to home.

Muffy was born in June of 2012. After having spent some time at Crash's Landing she underwent some routine re-testing for FIV. Muffy's new FIV test was negative!

Muffy moved from Big Sid's (the home for FIV positive cats) to Crash's Landing in November of 2013.

Muffy is ready for her next move. She's ready to move to your house!

Can you adopt Muffy?

Can't adopt, but still want to help?
