As the kids prepare to head back to school, remember, not all learning is done inside the classroom. Adopt Linnea from Crash's Landing and teach your kids the responsibility of pet ownership as you welcome a new member to the family.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Linnea.

The 4th of July was a busy time for Crash's Landing this year. They took in a number of cats including Linnea.

Linnea was extremely underweight and a bit dehydrated when she was found. After arriving at Crash's Landing, she weighed in at just 3.2 pounds. Crash's Landing gave her the care and food she needed. A few weeks later, she weighed in at 4.9 pounds.

Today, Linnea is doing well and has a lot of energy! She loves to explore! She'd love nothing more than to explore your house as her new, permanent home.

Can you adopt Linnea?
