It's tearing up our hearts that Lance Bass hasn't found a family. Crash's Landing loves Lance Bass, but they hope he goes bye, bye, bye soon. It might sound crazy but it ain't no lie. They just want to find him a home.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Lance Bass.

On July 15, Crash's Landing received a call from a woman in Pinebrook Mobile Village in Kentwood who found a cat tangled up in fishing gear and got a hook deeply embedded in his right foreleg. Crash's Landing told her to bring him right in.

Crash's Landing treated Lance Bass immediately, then discovered a number of other health concerns including a bilateral ear infection and untreated ear mites that left his left ear crumpled and calcified and both ear drums ruptured. He also had fleas, a number of deep scratches, then developed calicivirus, a very contagious feline upper respiratory disease. Through it all, even the worst of it when he was in obvious pain and discomfort, he kept a positive spirit.

Lance Bass is a remarkable cat! Please adopt him!
