The leaves have fallen and temperatures are dropping quickly. There's never been a more important time to adopt a cat from Crash's Landing to help ensure that there is enough space in the shelter for all of the cats that need a warm place to stay.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Guillermo.

Guillermo came to Crash's Landing under desperate circumstances. He was found limping through nine inches of newly fallen snow on a Monday morning. He was cold and thin. Sadly, he ran away when his would-be rescuer attempted to bring him in that morning. A few days later, Guillermo let down his guard and came indoors to warm up. He was then brought into Crash's Landing.

Crash's Landing took care of Guillermo and gave him the medical treatment he needed. Guillermo still deals with some health issues and is a bit apprehensive about meeting new human friends. He needs someone who can take the time to give him the patience and loving home he deserves.

Can you help?

Please adopt Guillermo!
