As you can tell from the photo, Galen is a happy cat who likes to have fun! All he needs now is a permanent home.

Can you adopt Galen?

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Galen.

Galen arrived at Crash's Landing on August 29th, 2016 after transferring from a shelter in Montcalm County. He was born in the summer of 2012.

Galen was filthy, flea-ridden, loaded with internal parasites and had a nasty bilateral ear infection that caused his ear drums to rupture. He was still very friendly despite being in great discomfort.

How many of us can say we'd be in a good mood with so many health problems?

Today, Galen is much healthier. Crash's Landing gave him a lot of love and care as they nursed him back to health.

Galen has been happy at Crash's Landing, but it is time for him to move on. Adopt Galen and enjoy the company of a very happy cat!
