Like so many other cats, Ellyn was in poor health when she first came to Crash's Landing, but now she's ready to be adopted. Please help!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Ellyn.

Ellyn first came to Crash's Landing in the fall of 2014 when she was brought in for medical attention. Her list of ailments was a long one. Ellyn was anemic secondary to a blood parasite caused by a heavy flea infestation, had a bilateral ear infection due to untreated ear mites, was plagued by chronic nasal discharge, had an umbilical hernia that had to be repaired once she was healthy enough to be spayed, had lost all of her teeth and was FIV+.

It took weeks, but after treatment, Ellyn was able to show great progress. Ellyn even had a home to stay in, but later had to come to the program at Big Sid's (Crash's Landing's home for FIV+ cats) when her owner had health issues.

Unfortunately, Ellyn had more health issues upon her return. Not from neglect, but from circumstances beyond everyone’s control.

Today, Ellyn is doing better. She is a very sweet cat who would love to meet you!

Please adopt Ellyn!
