Think it's cold outside when you have to shovel snow or clear off your car? Imagine having to be in the cold all day.

Crash's Landing works every day to rescue cats off of the street, but they need your help. They need you to adopt a cat to help keep the rescue below capacity and open to new cats all winter.

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Each Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Brimley.

Brimley was born in March of 2010. He has seen some rough patches while out on the streets of Grand Rapids. When he first arrived he was filthy, FIV positive and starving for food, affection and blood glucose regulation. Brimley is diabetic.

It took a few weeks on a pretty high insulin dosage to knock his sugar levels down to a manageable level.

Good news! After a lot of treatment, Brimley went into remission! He may very well require insulin in the future, but for now he is doing well.

Brimley needs to be monitored, but he is not currently on medication. Now all he needs is a loving home.

Please adopt Brimley!
