Boot-Z has had to overcome a lot to get where he is today.

Boot-Z was a stray, he was shot, and it has taken him a long time to get used to being around people.

Today, he is a happy cat and he is ready to be adopted!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped more than 2,500 cats. But there is still work to be done.

Every Friday on 100.5 The River is Purrrfect Friday, where we feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.

This week, we're spotlighting Boot-Z.

On June 6, 2013, Crash's Landing received a call from someone who had found Boot-Z as a stray. The caller had no place to put him and Crash's Landing had no room at the shelter. Eventually, Crash's Landing had room and Boot-Z was able to make his way to the shelter.

Crash's Landing discovered many scrapes and bruises on Boot-Z when he arrived. They also discovered that he had been shot. The pellet is still under his skin, but it is not causing him any trouble.

It took Boot-Z over a year to get used to being around people, but today he can't get enough of it! Boot-Z is ready for a new home!

Can you adopt Boot-Z?
